How it works

Six steps to an unforgettable reveal.

From booking to the big moment — here's the full DisposiCam experience.

01

You (the host)

Book your roll

Choose a pricing tier, enter your event details, and pay securely via Paystack. Within minutes, you'll receive an email with your unique QR code — ready to print or share.

02

You (the host)

Set up at your venue

Print QR cards and place them on tables, or display the code on a screen. You can also display the live gallery on a TV or projector by opening /g/{your-event-code} on any browser.

03

Your guests

Scan & start shooting

Each guest scans the QR code, optionally enters their name, and gets their own film roll. They see how many shots they have — and that's it. Simple. No accounts, no downloads, no friction.

04

Your guests

Make every shot count

The camera interface is minimal by design. Film perforations count down the shots. When the roll is finished, guests see a message: "Your moments are developing." Photos are hidden until the reveal.

05

Everyone

The big reveal

At a time you set — typically 22:00 — all photos develop simultaneously. If you're showing the gallery live, every screen bursts to life at once. It's the moment that makes the disposable camera magic real.

06

You (the host)

Download & keep

After the event, download all photos as a ZIP from your admin dashboard. Photos are stored for 30 days. Extend to 1 year (R99) or permanently (R399) if you need more time.

Common questions

Can guests use the camera on any phone?
Yes. DisposiCam works on any modern smartphone browser — iOS Safari, Android Chrome, and everything in between. No app download required. For the best experience, we recommend accessing over HTTPS.
What if a guest runs out of shots?
Once their roll is complete, guests see a "Roll complete" screen with a link to view their personal photos. They cannot take more shots — that's the point. Scarcity makes the shots matter.
What if a guest goes offline while shooting?
Photos taken offline are queued locally and uploaded automatically when the connection returns. The guest sees a small indicator: "2 photos queued — uploading when connected."
Can I display the gallery on a projector at the venue?
Absolutely — that's what it's designed for. Open disposicam.com/g/{your-event-code} on any browser connected to your venue's TV or projector. The gallery updates in real time as the reveal happens.
What happens if I want instant reveal instead of delayed?
Instant reveal is available on the Director's Cut tier. Photos appear in the gallery the moment they're taken. Perfect for events where you want guests to see each other's shots live.
